Since the mid-nineties researchers have developed a monumental theory of information and communication technologies, within the conceptual framework of the network society – an ideal type transcending economic, cultural and political changes that took place in the 20th Century. Call for papers for the next annual conference of the Canadian Communication Association, which will be held from June 1-4, 2021 as part of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS) 2021 Congress. This year’s theme is “ Northern Relations .” Congress 2021 is organized this year in partnership with the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

We wish to foster an international, virtual community of scholars from all disciplines engaged with the study of music and sound in audio-visual media.
