Since the release of OJS/OMP/OPS 3.3, we’ve been hard at work planning our next major release. In this post, I’ll kick off our 3.4 development cycle by sharing our plans for the next six months, including major work on email notifications, DOIs, accessibility, and code modernization.

Coalition Publica is pleased to announce the 2021 Call for Proposals – Big Data. Non-commercial research projects in the digital humanities are invited to apply for access to the largest digital research corpus of Canadian full text periodicals available.

This month we released OJS/OMP/OPS 3.3. These release packages were in development for nearly a year and represent a major step forward in our efforts to modernize the codebase and improve our release process. In this post, I’ll describe some of the key changes we’re making to the way we build software and how that will benefit our community.

Coalition Publica is launching a call for applications for scholarly journals wishing to be disseminated on the Érudit platform (erudit.org) as of January 2023. The journal should submit its application before Sunday, April 24, 2022 . Applications received after this date may be evaluated for the following year.

At PKP, we believe openness is about sharing freely (without cost) and sharing widely (without barriers). But what happens when what we think is open isn’t open to all? When your software cannot be fully experienced by assistive technologies, or when it uses exclusionary terminology?

If yes, the PKP Technical Committee wants to hear from you!  The PKP Technical Committee (TC) was formalized in 2013 and includes representatives from each of PKP’s Development Partners, as well as several members from the community.

Earlier this week we announced the release of OJS/OMP/OPS 3.3. To kickoff “Feature Fridays” in February, here are some of the most significant changes to the editorial workflow that managers, editors, authors, and reviewers can look forward to. The first thing you’ll notice in OJS/OMP/OPS 3.3 are changes to the user dashboard/editorial backend. These updates simplify and streamline the user experience.
