The deadliest bear is often referred to as the polar bear. Polar bears are powerful predators and have been known to attack and kill humans, particularly in regions where they come in close contact with human habitation due to reduced sea ice. Here are some interesting facts about cheetahs: Cheetahs are the fastest land animals and can run up to speeds of 60 to 70 miles per hour. Unlike other big cats such as lions, tigers, and leopards, cheetahs are unable to roar, instead, they purr and chirp. This is because of the structural differences in their vocal cords and larynx (voice box).   The ability to roar is due to the presence of a bony structure called the hyoid bone in the neck, which supports the larynx and the vocal cords.

Polar bear diet   Polar bears are carnivores and their diet consists mainly of seals. They primarily hunt ringed seals and bearded seals, although they will also feed on other marine mammals, such as walruses and beluga whales, when food is scarce.   During the winter, when the sea ice is solid, polar bears will hunt seals by waiting at breathing holes in the ice, where seals come up to the surface to breathe.

They have been known to dive to depths of up to 10 meters (33 ft) in search of seals, their main prey.Their bodies are adapted for swimming, with large front legs that act like paddles and a thick layer of insulating fat to keep them warm in the frigid arctic waters.
