In diesem Webinar steht der Dienst Rogue Scholar von Front Matter im Fokus. Nach einer Einführung in das Projekt Infra Wiss Blogs, wird Rogue Scholar vorgestellt.

Rogue Scholar archives the content of currently more than 150 science blogs with more than 40,000 blog posts. In this blog post, I want to clarify the guidelines that Rogue Scholar tries to follow regarding authorship. Rogue Scholar blog posts are scholarly content and thus follow the same basic guidelines as other scholarly outputs, such as journal articles, preprints, or book chapters.

Aiming to spot some Open Access trends in scholarly publishing 2015–2024, on May 13, I retrieved publication volume data—specifically article-level outputs, excluding other document types—from OpenAlex, focusing on Open Access (OA) publishing trends and their respective modalities. Here, I share a brief overview of the results.

Das wissenschaftliche Such- und Erkundungssystem bietet Antworten aus fast 80 Millionen wissenschaftlichen Dokumenten und hilft Forschenden dabei, die wissenschaftlichen Publikationen zu finden, nach denen sie wirklich suchen.

The ”ORKG Ask” service, launched in May 2024, is now a year old. The scientific search and discovery system provides answers from almost 80 million scientific documents and helps researchers find the scientific publications they are really looking for. Dr Allard Oelen and Dr Mohamad Yaser Jaradeh from the TIB developed the AI-based tool within four months. In this interview, they talk about the tool, its functions, the challenges faced during development and in the first twelve months, and which functions will be added in the coming months.
