Do you ever wonder how armadillos bring new life into the world? Well, armadillos have a unique method of reproduction that might surprise you. Contrary to popular belief, they don’t lay eggs like other mammals. Instead, armadillos are placental mammals, meaning they carry their offspring inside their womb. After a four to five month gestation period, armadillos give birth to live young called pups.
