The symposium “Prohibited Films” will serve as a forum to discuss the various legal restrictions that apply to films, and examine the impact that these restrictions have on film production, distribution and reception.  A film is banned because it – allegedly or actually – violates the law. A documentary is never realized because a legal advisor warns of possible law suits that would pose too great a financial risk.
